Employment Opportunities with Moresby Explorers

The Moresby Explorers Ltd. employs about ten people each season from May to September. Jobs include boat guiding, managing the office, and cooking at our float camp. Although each job is a challenging full-time position in itself, we encourage everyone to get to know each other's jobs and work together as a team to complete the tasks needing to get done each day. Most staff choose to live at our office, where we provide room and board. Working with Moresby Explorers is a great way to learn a wide variety of skills and experience a fun, team-orientated work environment.

Because of the length of our season, this is an excellent summer job for students. We are happy to consider applications for work experience placements from colleges or outdoor programs.

Voluteer Opportunities

Moresby Explorers offers volunteer opportunities throughout the year (similar to the WWOOF program). In the winter months, we will provide room, board, and access to kayaks and vehicles in exchange for approximately 4 hours of work 5 days a week. In the summer we can also offer boat tours in exchange for work. The type of work will depend on what projects we have going on at any given time, and might include carpentry, kayak repairs, helping around our office or even assisting at our remote float camp on the northern boundary of Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us or stop by our office in Sandspit.
